Exhibit is UP!

Last night at 11pm, five hours after we kicked off the work party at Studio R, we stood back and took a look at the exhibit that our community of mamas has created. All I can say is: it absolutely took my breath away. To see all the images of our children beaming off of the walls, and to feel the love that’s pouring out of each and every image, is something very powerful. A BIG BIG thank you to our very dedicated set up crew: Sara, Wenmei, Cecilia, Nicki, & Stephanie!! They did not quit until we had it all figured out (and there was a surprising amount to figure out). I think that all you mamas will be blown away on Friday when you walk in!!

The word is out about our event, we are in Red Tricycle and on the home page of Seattle’s Child, and I am posting to the mom’s lists today!

If you are new to the blog and are in the Seattle Area, we are thrilled to invite you to our very first exhibit: “Through the Eyes of a Mother,” a photography show that celebrates the enduring love of mothers. It is this Friday, May 7th at Studio R in Fremont (315 N 36th St, Second floor). Stop in anytime from 6-9pm and check out our photo display. Our exhibit is part of the the Fremont First Friday Art Walk, and it’s the perfect way to kick off Mother’s Day weekend! If you’re a mama with a digital SLR, we hope you’ll be inspired to pick up your camera and join us for our next group meeting at Studio R on Monday May 17th!

Can’t wait to see you all on Friday!

  1. Hello! I found this listing through the West Seattle Blog forums. I work at Glazer’s Camera, and we love to include items like this in our email newsletters. Please keep me in the loop for any future events! lindseyh AT glazerscamera DOT com.
